Emmaus Table – A Community of Welcome and Justice

Emmaus Table is a spiritual community in the Green Lake neighborhood of North Seattle, exploring faith in creative ways through conversation, communion, and service. Rooted in the neighborhood and grounded in a Lutheran expression of following Jesus, we are an inclusive, intergenerational, and open-and-affirming worship community connected to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

At Emmaus Table, we welcome people of all ages, races, classes, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions. We affirm the sacred worth of every person and commit to God’s vision of justice that calls us to radical hospitality, racial healing, and liberation for the oppressed.

The Spirit works through the diverse gifts of all of God’s people; we welcome and affirm LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC rostered leaders. We joyfully offer our sanctuary and community spaces for LGBTQIA+ weddings and blessings, celebrating love in all its faithful forms.

Through our financial and spiritual commitment to ReconcilingWorks, we give thanks for its faithful witness to inclusion, justice, and grace. We come together to practice hospitality in order to encounter Jesus in the stranger made friend. Through baking church, communion, and other forms of worship, prayer, and action, Emmaus Table seeks to ease loneliness, dispel isolation, and foster connection.

All are welcome, all are celebrated, and all are beloved.
